Welcome to the Cincinnati Paralegal Association Website.  Through this website, you can learn about the CPA, contact our Board of Directors, read a sample of our newsletter and find links to information you may need for your job.

Our Mission

The purpose and goals of the CPA are to:

(a) Promote the paralegal profession.

(b) Provide seminars for the continuing legal education of paralegals.

(c) Act as a forum for the exchange of information.

(d) Promote and support professional standards.

(e) Communicate with the legal community and the general public.

(f) Participate in local and national issues that affect the profession.

(g) Engage in projects, solicitations and other activities which the Board of Directors may deem necessary or desirable.

The Cincinnati Paralegal Association, an Ohio nonprofit corporation, is committed to the professional development of the individual paralegal and the paralegal profession, the establishment and support of professional standards, and the advancement of paralegals as an integral and distinctive partner in the delivery of legal services.

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

JUNE 24, 2008

 

BEA LARSEN TO SPEAK IN JUNE


Guest speaker for the June General Membership Meeting will be Bea Larsen, Senior Mediator at the Center for Resolution of Disputes. Ms. Larsen has been with the Center since it was established in 1988 and has
mediated over 650 disputes.

 

After graduating from
Chase Law School in 1969, she began her career as an
attorney for the Legal Aid Society of Cincinnati, and
since 1980 has practiced and mediated primarily in the
domestic relations area. Ms. Larsen is a past president
of the Cincinnati Bar Association, and is the recipient of numerous honors and awards including the Ohio
Women’s Hall of Fame. For a number of years, she presented weekly commentaries on WVXU radio on her professional work, as well as personal and general
experiences. Her commentaries can now be found online at www.bealarsen.com.
