The Pro Bono Committee is getting ready for another Wills for Heroes event! This event will take place on March 15, 2008 from 8:30a.m. - 5:00p.m.  in Clermont County, Ohio.  Contact Reena for directions and specific information.

There are 3 types of volunteers: intake, drafting, and witness. Intake volunteers meet with the clients and review the information on the intake form. They pass this information along to the drafters, who then draft the various documents. After the documents have been reviewed by the clients, they are taken to the witness station where the documents are executed and notarized.  Please note, you must be a member of the CPA to volunteer.

We are looking for volunteers in the following time slots:

8:30am – 11:00am

11:00am – 1:00pm

1:00pm – 3:00pm

3:00pm – 5:00pm

Contact Reena Landwehr @ or 513-361-1219 with the time slot that you are available to volunteer and what you would like to do (intake, drafter, witness). If you are an Ohio Notary, please let Reena know and bring your stamp with you. (For Kentucky events, please let Reena know if you are a Kentucky Notary and bring your stamp with you.)

Please note for those that have never volunteered for this event before, you do not have to be a probate or estate planning paralegal to volunteer. If you have any questions about the event or the volunteer positions, please feel free to contact Reena.

If you know an attorney in your office that may be interested in volunteering for this event, please pass their information along to Reena.  Please note that the attorney must be licensed to practice in the state in which the event takes place.
